SO WHAT DO MYSPACE AND MTV HAVE IN COMMON?

SO WHAT DO MYSPACE AND MTV HAVE IN COMMON?

Rumor has it that MySpace is planning a launch that will be a major challenge to the itune monopoly. They may have inked a deal with THREE of the four major records labels... a partnership to include the downloading of music. The four major record labels left are Warner Music Group, Sony BMG Music Entertainment, Universal Music Group and EMI. I guess EMI is the only one without the foresight to get in on this one.

Hello... it looks like someone is finally gonna figure out a cool way to monetize the MySpace universe! The last time something as monumental and potentially culture culling as this happened... MTV was born. At the time record labels underestimated the "new" faddish MTV phenomena. MTV made their mark and made their money leaving the major labels in the dust.

The service could include streaming of songs, MP3 sales, concert tickets and cool stuff like ringtones. Can you say ching ching?
The demographics and purchasing power of the whole MySpace world is just waiting…daddy’s dollar in hand…waiting for some genius to give them something that fits their allowance, attention span, and cell phone texting crazed lifestyle and image. MySpace reached 106 million accounts in 2006 with reportedly 230,000 new sign-ups a day. Talk about viral marketing! Let’s go!

If you’re interested in internet marketing or making money online, you should really check out this informative step-by-step guide to the latest internet methods which include “Social Marketing.” You can have it free… Click here to get this valuable report. Technology is moving at such a fast pace, you really need to understand how these new Web 2.0 tactics work because without out that knowledge you probably won’t be able to make money online in the future. The Social Marketing guide is here.

Not sure yet what this new launch of services from MySpace and their partnerships with the major labels will be called - it is currently MySpace Music but any day we should hear more.

It’s a great day for the indie musician and artist. Go MySpace!

I just started a MySpace - EXCUSE ME - Be Right Back!

OKAY. I’m back. My husband just opened a new bottle of Fanta Strawberry Soda and it exploded all over him and the kitchen. Needless to say I had to help him clean it up. Ugh. Yet another distraction to detour me from the important business at hand.

As I was saying, I just started a new MySpace account for 21st Century Capitalism. I need some friends so go on over to MySpace and be my friend. For you MySpace musicians, artists, and music aficionados I also have a great MySpace for musicians called miaSmusic. Be my friend there too if you want. If you don’t have a MySpace Account yet registration is fast and easy. Go to here and sign up for MySpace.

Remember I want you to have your own free Social Marketing guide.
Go to I will email a download link to you!

Mia, your comments are so right on, i.e., "waiting for some genius to give them something that fits their allowance, attention span, and cell phone texting crazed lifestyle and image."

And just too funny. But absolutely! I also totally love technology even though I am so completely techless.

And a funny thing happened on the way to the MTV sitcom, long, long ago on this li'l isle. It all started out along Hsin Yi Road near the corner of Chin Shan South Road more or less somewhere in the midst if not the exact middle of the thriving new-old metropolis of Taipei. Like magic mushrooms after an autumn rain it spread and proliferated across the nation, if you don't mind my calling Taiwan a nation of and unto itself; quite the vibrant democracy here, I might (and have) add(ed). Maybe I'll tell that story to you some day, it's a rather long one. Hey! I'll put it on my blog! Now there's an idea . . . .
